What a pleasure it was baking for my dear friend Heidi and her new husband Michael. I think everyone came to the ceremony in high spirits knowing this was not only going to be a very special, but very fun, bubbly day, just like Heidi. Cherbon Waters at Burbank was a picture perfect location where the newlyweds recited their vows to each other, the lake a stunning backdrop . Guests were seated in a white marquee where we greeted the new Mr. & Mrs. Denner.
The vintage theme of the wedding was carried through to the cupcakes, where each tier on the stand held ivory lace. Heidi and Michael chose alternating bases of chocolate and vanilla with a subtle rose water icing for their 130 family and friends. The top vanilla with buttercream icing cutting cake took pride of place on the top tier.
All the very best to my beautiful friends, congratulations!

The most recent cupcake gig was for the lovely Emily and Andrew. I had so much fun making the cupcakes for these guys, knowing it was for them. They are a pretty cool couple, fun to be around and their fun attitude was reflected throughout their wedding day. The weather was picture perfect as the bride walked down the aisle for the garden ceremony held at Indooroopilly Golf Club.
Much fun was had by all at the reception, from the lolly buffet (soo good, and I hear there are still lollies to last the rest of the year), the photo booth with fun props (see LadyJayde Photography) and dancing well into the night. Lots of dancing.. well, by Vic and myself at least. And then of course there were the cupcakes!
I was excited to use the beautiful, ivory laser cut wrappers that enhance any cupcake event. The 6 tiered stand held 80 chocolate cupcakes and a chocolate top cake. The alternating icing flavours were chocolate fudge and rose water.
Congrats guys! You make a stunning couple.

On the weekend I made a cupcake tower for the wedding of Gracienne and Jason. The ballroom at Victoria Park was set up superbly, awaiting the arrival of the newlyweds to kick off the celebrations.
The couple chose the 6 tiered cupcake tower, featuring a chocolate cutting cake with ribbon. The chocolate bases were finished with alternating vanilla buttercream and a white chocolate ganache with rose flavoured persian fairy floss. I found the persian fairy floss in a store at South Bank a couple of months ago and was so delighted to finally use it! I love Gracienne's unique style and thought it would fit in well with her tastes and theme of the wedding.
Congratulations, hope you guys had a great time!

Recently I baked cupcakes for our little cousin, Beniah's, 1st birthday. It was a lovely morning with lots of mingling, toddlers playing and yummy food (thanks to the dazzling cooking skills of Beniah's mum, Amy).
The chocolate cupcake base was topped with a vanilla buttercream, in Beniah's favourite colour blue and various sizes of silver cachous. I think he liked them...

What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than baking many, many Christmas cupcakes! Recently I had the pleasure to bake custom made, corporate cupcakes for the lovely team at JF Media.

The cupcake bases were vanilla and white chocolate and featured an alternating design of Christmas trees and stars in the fun JF Media corporate colours on a vanilla buttercream frosting.
I had lots of fun packaging the cupcakes in boxes and finishing them with tags and ribbon. The team distributed the finished product to their clients for Christmas. The team at JF Media have an established name within the media industry for adsales and were great to work with.
Merry Christmas!

In November I had the pleasure of making a wedding cupcake tower for good friends Laurene & Nathan. They are such a beautiful couple and the day was just perfect.
Guests were hesitant of the grey clouds rolling towards the Hastings Point lookout, but just after the stunning bride walked down the aisle, the rain held off as the nuptials were made. There were lots of smiles that day, and how could there not be...an amazing backdrop for the ceremony and close friends and family to surround the newly married couple as the celebrations continued into the afternoon.

The cupcake tower featured vanilla cupcakes with alternating designs of white chocolate ganache with white chocolate curls and a vanilla butter cream piping. The pale blue theme of the wedding was carried through the cake presentation with small blue sugar flowers and ribbon.
Guests enjoyed the cupcakes as some unique dance moves broke out on the dance floor.
Congratulations you guys!!

I recently had the privilege to bake for my good friends wedding, Lauren & Pete. They chose the 6 tiered cupcake tower which fitted in perfectly with the high tea reception, at the Stamford Plaza on the Brisbane River. I baked 130 cupcakes and the cutting cake for this beautiful couple. The chocolate cupcakes featured alternate toppings of piped chocolate fudge and silky dark chocolate ganache finished with edible gold foil. The cutting cake was also a chocolate cake topped with chocolate fudge frosting.

It was lovely to see Lauren & Pete so happy on their special day. As a guest at the wedding I was able to see people enjoying the coochie cupcake goodness, which really made me happy.
That's all for now!
